St. Romano in Renaissance clothing turns his gaze towards God, inscribed in an almond-shaped frame in the centre of the work; St. Roch, dressed as a pilgrim, looks towards the viewer showing a bleeding wound on his right thigh, a sign of the plague that struck him during his lifetime. Below their feet, there is a floor with geometric motifs and further down there is the town of Deruta, also indicated by Saint Roman. Behind the two Saints, a plain drape forms the background of the composition.
